The Royat Cordon

Vine pruning by Fabian and Frédéric Thiébault: the Royat cordon
Every winter, we begin pruning our vines. This important step allows us to determine the crop load and spread of vegetation for the coming season. It also ensures good fruit set for the hand-harvested grapes. Judicious vine pruning helps achieve the health essential for a quality harvest.

Pruning regulates production and improves grape quality by concentrating sugars on a smaller number of bunches. This sustainable vineyard management extends the lifespan of our vines.

Pargny-lès-Reims is the cradle of our family farm. It is a small winegrowers' village nestled in the heart of the vineyards on Montagne de Reims, just a few miles from Reims, the 'City of Coronations'.

We will welcome you at the farm with great pleasure, any day of the week, by advanced request.

You will be welcomed warmly before tasting and learning about our various cuvées.
