Champagne Cuvée des écus
In this wine, Nature is expressed without filter. This cuvée is a blend, with Pinot Meunier for main variety, and aged for five years in cellars. It was named after one of our vineyards in Pargny-lès-Reims in honour of it.
This champagne has a lively attack on the palate, followed by more gourmand, beautifully mature flavours. The finish is pleasantly persistent.
It can be served as an apéritif but will also be perfectly paired with refined fish dishes.
|Blend||40 % Pinot-Meunier, 35 % Pinot-Noir, 25 % Chardonnay (30 % of which are reserve wines)|
|Ageing||5 years in cellars|
Its robe is a pretty shade of gold, clear and luminous, with delicate bubbles and a beautiful visual aspect. The bouquet is frank and pleasant; it brings to mind lightly cooked white fruits, such as pears, stone fruits and plums. When allowed to breathe, notes of ginger bread come to enhance the bouquet. The attack on the palate is ample, lively and full, recalling the aromas detected in the bouquet; the evolution is richer but it remains very lively and flavourful. On the whole, it is well balanced, beautifully mature, offering a pleasantly persistent finish.
